Inspired by an original work by Palestinian artist Abed Abdi, this piece is a rug artwork produced using the tufting technique and shaped by our own interpretative approach. The artist’s visual language has been reexamined through a modern perspective and detailed craftsmanship.
Abed Abdi (1942–2016) was a Palestinian artist known for his expressive paintings, murals, and graphic works that reflect themes of identity, displacement, and social struggle. Born in Haifa, he was among the first Palestinian artists to receive formal art education in Europe. His work combines figurative expression with strong symbolic elements, often drawing from Palestinian history and everyday life. Abdi’s art remains an important voice in modern Palestinian visual culture.
