Our Story
Founded in 2025 and based in Turkey, Ruggies is a tufting rug brand rooted in craftsmanship, culture, and contemporary design. We create rugs that go beyond function—each piece is conceived as a visual surface where art, texture, and space come together.
At the core of our practice is collaboration and interpretation. We work with original designs and reinterpret artworks by artists from different cultural backgrounds, translating them into tufted forms through a careful, hands-on production process. Tufting allows us to experiment with rhythm, color, and texture, turning visual narratives into tactile experiences.
Cultural references play a central role in our work. We draw inspiration from local traditions as well as global artistic expressions, treating rugs as carriers of memory, identity, and dialogue. Each piece reflects a balance between heritage and modern production techniques.
Our brand colors—blue and white—are a reflection of this philosophy. Blue represents depth, continuity, and calm; white stands for clarity, balance, and space. Together, they echo both the Mediterranean landscape and the timeless simplicity we aim to achieve in our designs.
